Erika MacDonald was born and raised in Little Pond, PEI. After graduating high school, Erika moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia to study International Development and Political Science at Saint Mary’s University. During her time there, she worked to help revive the student newspaper, The SMU Journal, and was editor-in-chief during her graduating year. Since then, she has worked in various digital communications roles with both the Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island governments. Erika has a keen and self-taught interest in social media strategy, content creation, photography, and videography and Island Digital Voices is her first set of creative video pieces. She currently resides in Charlottetown, PEI, with her partner George and on the weekends, you can usually find her taking photos of family and friends.
